Meredith's quizzer is about to be left in the dust.
Hardly. Meredith is a frequent occupant of the top 25 syndie list on TV by the Numbers and regularly pulls an audience of 3.0-3.5 million. The show can live on those numbers.

FF is moving to the CW station here in the Atlanta area, WUPA ch. 69, to 7 and 7:30 PM starting next month. The previous station, WPCH 17 aired it for an hour at Noon.
As the Kid pointed out earlier in the thread, Feud already runs on the CW affiliate opposite the Jeopardy/WoF combo on the CBS affiliate in the 7:00PM hour in the Columbus market. The results haven't been pretty for Steve. Though Alex doesn't usually get a 9.0 rating elsewhere, as he does in Columbus.

And as another poster noted, with better timeslots comes tougher competition. We'll see what happens starting September 10.

At least Millionaire isn't on the brink of cancellation like a few years ago before the completely new format. Those are still strong numbers for the show, but there can still be some improvements.

Even in some markets where Feud will now air at 5 or 6pm, not competiting with Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune, you still have local and world news competition

They have those? Never seen one that didn't have a "YouTube moment" somewhere during the show.

Very true. All YouTube moments are rated R on Family Feud's channel

I think you're pushing it by calling them "Rated R" answers. They're more like TV-14.

That rating is probably better for this version of Family Feud. To some, its still not family-friendly

BTW, saw another suggestive answer on the show Yesterday. The question was "Name something that has White balls". Answer on the board.. "White Dudes".

Harvey Feud has always been rated TV-PG. I've never seen even one episode rated TV-14. Of course, compared to much of cable and even broadcast TV, Harvey Feud is kindergarten. Like the "white dudes" answer, which just made me faint dead away in shock.

I really hope some folks around here never get a glimpse of Game of Thrones. We might have some serious fainting spells. (Just kidding, sort of.) By the way, GSN is about as squeaky clean as it gets nowadays outside the kid networks. Only a few hours of TV-14 programming - Baggage and Newlywed Game - are left. Everything else is TV-G or TV-PG.

You can say that again. Game of Thrones is almost too much for me, and I'm the most permissive guy on the planet when it comes to TV content!

    What the heck?

What were the Feud writers going at on that answer? There's basically no point in that question. That's when you have to ask "Name something that is wrong with Family Feud?"

Sorry to bump this, but not that it matters or anything, I just learned that Family Feud is moving from my Fox affiliate to my CW affiliate at 7:00pm and 7:30pm. I just went to http://www.familyfeud.com/ and entered my zip code, and it said.

Family Feud was on my Fox affiliate for as long as I can remember. Maybe it's moving to CW so my Fox station can air reruns of Two and a Half Men and those comedy shows. I'm just glad I can watch Feud in the evening for the new episodes.

Hmmm...Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune competition there?

Actually, just Wheel of Fortune at 7pm. Jeopardy airs at 6:30pm after dinner time. Both on my ABC station. (Which is good for me, I like to try to watch and play along with Wheel of Fortune, but don't really get any puzzles. I do better at Jeopardy or Family Feud. My two favorite game shows next to the Wheel).

I wonder if Judge Judy will move to 11am now on my Fox affiliate becauise, That's what was on the CW affiliate at 7pm and 7:30pm.

I'll tell you now Family Feud with these timeslot changes that I expect Jeopardy's second place spot to be challenged by Feud, but I'm sure Casey will disagree. Moving Feud eight hours up to a much better slot is a HUGE change, and your affiliate isn't the only one by far switching Feud from late mornings/early afternoons to evenings and almost in primetime.

And Judge Judy aired at 7pm? That's basically putting a daytime show in primetime. I hope it would switch to 11am where you are

    My thoughts exactly.
