When TABC Challenge appeared last year, I told everyone it would be a huge hit. Didn't expect 2 million, but knew it would be big since I lived in Georgia for 5 years and saw how the inhabitants love going to Bible Studies etc. The charismatic approach to the show will fit right in with the way most Southerners enjoy their form of worship.
I do, however, wonder what the reaction will be from the Corn Belt. Midwest people are just as devout as Southerners when it comes to worship. But to say it mildly,the charismatic dancing and singing isn't a big thrill like it is to the South. In fact, I kind of wonder if it will annoy the Midwest to the point where it might start to affect ratings....we'll see. Promos seem to show GSN is going to emphasize the entertainment portion of the show. Hope it doesn't affect ratings for GSN.Think MW folk sort of just want to play the game and answer the questions.
