At this point, since GSN did bring back SP and P Plus along with NEW episodes of 25 K, you have to think this isn't GSN's doing. I wouldn't have said this in 2010, but you would have to think GSN must have contacted about newer MG /Dawson episodes.The reason we don't see new MG episodes isn't GSN 's doing in all probability. Of course, GSN wouldn't be paying a King's ransom for new MG or Dawson, but I would bet in 2012, the price is likely way too high for GSN's budget. This doesn't mean GSN couldn't afford new episodes, but the money they would have to spend would be ridiculous for what they would be worth in 2012. So, they probably just renewed their lease for the same Groundhog Day seasons of Dawson and Gene.

We lose as viewers, but I doubt GSN didn't... at the very least.... inquire about new MG/Feud if we are seeing new 25 K and the Passwords. Doubt GSN would have added those shows and not make a pitch for , say, MG 76 etc.

Considering we have seen the four new classic leases this year (now including 100K Pyramid), I'm still uncertain about the future of Match Game and Dawson Feud on GSN. They're on too early for a new lease. If GSN changes their times to later in the morning, then we can get our hopes up a little for Dawson Feud and Match Game. Otherwise, don't expect anything to happen in the 8am hour soon

Yes, I agree. The 8 a.m. ET hour is considered to be one of the "death slots" on the schedule, seeing that on the West Coast, it could be as early as 5 o'clock in the morning. That slot is a benefit for Atlantic Canada, seeing it is later in the morning, but Atlantic Canada's population makes up a very small minority.

Only a few thousand people in Atlantic Time in Canada get GSN and are interested to see game shows. The total viewers for whatever block would probably only add up to 1,000 there. A double-run of Match Game belong in the 8am hour, but as discussed on another thread I might want to see Black & While shows at 9 and 9:30am
