Marc Summers in serious car accident

Marc Summers, host of game shows such as Nickelodeon's Double Dare and the 2003 GSN original WinTuition was in a serious taxi cab accident in Philadelphia last week. He sustained serious injuries to his face and is still recovering. Apparently he is still having some complications swallowing food and seeing out of his left eye.

    Get well soon, Marc.

Saw this on Buzzerblog the other day. I was going to post a new thread but I didn't really know much about him. Very sad to hear, and hope he gets out soon, though this is pretty serious it looks

I saw his tweets this morning, had no idea he was in an accent. Glad he is okay.

Seems weird that he would be Tweeting during this accident, looking at his troubled vision right now, unless you were viewing tweets from another time

He tweeted this morning when he started feeling better. It's not like he did it in the ER right after the accident. He probably wanted to tell fans everywhere that he is going to be okay and he'll get through this ordeal himself.

All I can say is he should have been glad he was in a Crown Victoria (as referenced on the cab company's website) and not one of those wimpy gas sippers. Chances are he would have been doing the Physical Challenges with someone's long-gone children in Heaven if it wasn't for the large, safe Panther car he was riding in. And to think they wanted to get rid of them because they were gas hogs....ugh. Nonetheless, he seemed to have a good humor about the whole incident and definitely wish him well. (Can't believe he's only 60! Must have been 35 or so when he began DD back in the mid-80s....)

I saw this article on the gameshownewsnet website and I was just shocked, but glad that he's doing better.

I read about this at TMZ earlier in the week. How's the Cab driver doing?

I do find his comment about partition to be a little reckless.

They didn't even mention him. How sad...
