This is great news for Bible. I really like it. It's clean, and Jeff Foxworthy is a funny, great host. I've always liked him.

I just hope The Pyramid survives into another season. The ratings for week 2 have been very unimpressive, but there is hope if it did well Friday nightOriginally Posted by phimat37
TVNewser has sent out the list of cable ratings for the week of September 10-16. GSN's averaged 407K/262K (primetime/total day), and 39th in both areas.
A great week for GSN in primetime thanks to Steve, Jeff, Guy and oh yeah, Jeff again. The rest of the schedule may need a little help with that '262K' number, and it looks like by that Harvey didn't light up late nights. I think it's time to acquire Wheel to give daytime a "Spin"
GSN can not afford Sale Of The Century because Fremantle wants too much for it, I believe.
Forwarded from a Buzzerblog tweet. GSN's Beat the Chefs is held off into November. A little weird if you ask me
My guess: A Thanksgiving Day marathon to burn off the rest of the episodes. Count on it.
They've got to burn off the Beat the Chefs eps somehow. But a marathon? I think they'll just dribble them out one at a time in some throwaway slot.
They took the marathon approach in order to burn off some DWTS episodes, so I could see why they'd take the same approach with Chefs. I was wondering how exactly the show would benefit from being held back until November (when there won't be new Bible episodes left to help its numbers), but I think Xavier nailed it.
And the DWTS marathon did just great. Marathoning your losers doesn't turn them into winners. Funny thing, Chefs wasn't a complete bomb. But the revolution of rising expectations struck. Which makes me think that a marathon is even less likely.
We'll see soon enough.
I'll bet anything that's what they'll do. Cooking show and Thanksgiving. It works for GSN.
What really worked for GSN and Thanksgiving was that Black Friday marathon of recent Wheel of Fortune. That kind of marathon would make a lot more sense.
One of the best marathons ever on GSN!!
That would be great...if only they could acquire it in the first place.Originally Posted by CaseyAbell
My money, and as ridiculous as it sounds is for a Dancing with the Stars marathon on either Thanksgiving Day itself ALL DAY, or Friday. It will bomb, but GSN has to burn off the episodes somehow.Originally Posted by Xavier1989
A Beat the Chefs marathon could be in the work, airing the five new episodes all in a row (supposedly there are five eps left to air).
Otherwise, on Christmas Eve and Christmas I could see a Feud marathon, from Dawson up through Harvey, and then something on New Years' Eve and January 1st between 5th Grader, The Newlywed Game, Baggage and maybe American Bible Challenge
Maybe....but would they waste a prime viewing day when they have ABC( inevitable marathon upcoming), new Pyramid and Feud for at least 3 of the 4 available days? Think people won't watch a FOOD show the day after( or 2) they stuff themselves. So, it would have to be Turkey Day or not at all.
Maybe they may want to rekindle some DWTS in order to recoup some of that huge money loss. That certainly would make many viewers of game shows euphoric....
