Schedule Changes 4/11/11

The debut of the new originals on April 11th leads to a major shakeup between 5 PM and 3 AM. In fact, the schedule will be nearly all originals during that timeframe, except for two Karn/O'Hurley hours and $25K Pyramid which remains at 1:30 AM. Sherri, Jerry, Wendy, and Drew get three airings each. Inaba's 1 vs. 100 also returns with an airing at 5:30 PM. Meanwhile, NBC DoND gets relegated to a single afternoon airing on weekdays, while syndie DoND and Millionaire are cast off to weekends.

The daytime schedule remains the same. Assuming they don't make any last-minute changes (GSN is known to do that), the classics will continue in the same cycles that they've been on. I thought maybe GSN would switch up the classics a little at the beginning of April, or at least get different episodes of the shows they have, but I guess they signed a longer contract.

Or they may have leased Match Game, Dawson's Feud, and CS the same way they leased Press Your Luck in the 2000s. They started with 200 episodes of PYL in 2001, and added more in 2003. So we can expect this to be the trend for Fremantle leases from now on.

THey leased 400 episodes of Match Game 74-75, 400(I think) episodes of Dawson Feud(1980-81 ABC), 200 episodes of $25K Pyramid(9/2/85-6/17/86), and 200 episodes of each run of Card Sharks(1978-early 1979 Perry and Jan-Oct 1986 EUbanks)
