The PDF Schedules at Buzzerblog have been updated, and here are the changes. Scroll down to the bottom of the site to see the files. One file (the week of April 18th), is broken at the moment. All the other ones work.
-- Power of 10 will air at 7PM until April 11, in which it moves to 5PM, replacing 1 vs 100, and Catch-21. The show also takes over for Deal Or No Deal on Saturday & Sunday at 1PM, and Sunday's at 7PM, beginning April 2. Also, the show has a 10 hour marathon from 12pm-10pm on Sunday, April 10.
-- For the week of April 11th, weekends get some more changes. Million Dollar Password airs Saturday's at 12PM, while 1 Vs 100 (Saget) airs Sunday's at 12PM. Drew's show gets weekend repeats at 2PM & 5PM, also Love Triangle gets 2:30PM & 4:30PM slots. Saturday's still have the giant poker block starting at 6PM, but on Sunday's Catch-21 airs at 6PM, 1 vs 100 (GSN) airs at 6:30PM. 8PM is Drew's show with 8:30PM being Love Triangle.
-- Another small change for weekends, beginning the week of April 11th. Apparently GSN has lost the rights to Hollywood Squares weekends at 9am. Replacing it? Match Game! Hey, that's some encouraging news there for fans of the classics.
And let me just say, for those who said things like, GSN will Never, EVER, have a pre-1990 show on the weekend schedule again, well that doesn't look to be the case anymore. That kind of talk isn't necessary, as you never know what GSN is going to do with the schedule. Let's hope that Match Game does well on weekends, if it does, then maybe that will convince GSN execs to put more older shows on weekends.
You know when the weekend schedule change was brought up back in November of 2009, with all modern shows on it, I just knew that it wouldn't last forever. I mean this must mean that MG is still doing decent, if not better then decent ratings for its weekday slots, and maybe the 8am hour isn't doing that bad. I mean, they could have throw in Syndie DOND or Lingo into that 9am slot, but they are not. In fact, now DOND gets cut only to 5 days on weekdays at 1PM with no exposure on weekends anymore.
And while its only 2 days a week, it is still a slight expansion for the classics. So, talk about how they were continuing to push the pre-1990 off the weekdays to look like weekends, well maybe that's not correct anymore. Again, you never know with this network.
Once again, the PDF's have known to be unreliable. But I hope MG will do as good (if not better than) Hollywood Squares was. And really, its getting its former weekend slot back. HS replaced MG back in November 2009, and now MG replaces HS.
