Patrick Duffy
A devoted game enthusiast, Patrick Duffy's favorite game shows include such classics as "To Tell the Truth" and "What's My Line?" Throughout his prolific career, he has appeared on the celebrity-themed game shows "Tattletales" and "Hollywood Squares" but makes his hosting debut on GSN's BINGO AMERICA.
Duffy planned on becoming an architect, but was encouraged by his high school drama teacher to audition for the Professional Actors Training Program at the University of Washington. One of just 12 students accepted, Duffy created the school's position of "Actor in residence." Working as an interpreter for ballet, opera, and orchestra companies in Washington, he also taught mime and movement classes before moving to NYC, appearing in several off-Broadway productions.
In 1976, Duffy landed the role of Mark Harris in the TV series "The Man from Atlantis" but made his breakout performance two years later with his iconic portrayal of Bobby Ewing on the Golden Globe-winning series, "Dallas." In 1991, Duffy endeared himself to a whole new TV generation alongside Suzanne Somers as Frank Lambert on the ABC hit series, "Step by Step." In 2006, he joined the ensemble cast of the highly-acclaimed daytime drama, "The Bold and the Beautiful" as Stephen Logan Sr.
Duffy and his wife, Carlyn, currently reside in Oregon. He has two children: Conor, an actor, and Padraic, a playwright. Among his many accolades, he holds the prestigious distinction as one of the University of Washington's 100 Alumni of the Century.
